SUMMARY:Info Session - Metham Sodium Treated Gravel (Dieback-free BRM)
DESCRIPTION:In late 2024\, DWG Inc. secured a $2.4 M Australian Government Saving Native Species Threat Innovation grant to research\, trial and promote the application of an innovative soil-fumigation methodology for basic raw materials (BRM) to mitigate the spread of Phytophthora cinnamomi.\nResults from a large-scale trial recently completed in 2025 have demonstrated that this is an exciting new “Dieback mitigation tool”. These 2025 results strongly align with trial results from the proof- of-concept work conducted in 2019.\nWe would like to invite you and any of your colleagues to attend our information session on this innovation and how it can benefit bushland reserves\, conservation on local government-managed lands and industry. \nDuring the webinar\, we will cover:\n1.	A short film providing project background and why this is so important for biodiversity.\n2.	Considerations for land managers and suppliers\n3.	Your opportunity to be informed of updates\n4.	Q & A \nPlease join us for one of the following Microsoft Teams webinars for your state: \nNSW webinar: Info Session – Metham Sodium Treated Gravel (Dieback-free BRM)\nJoin on your computer\, mobile app or room device\nClick here to join the meeting\nMeeting ID: 931 215 461 257 5\nPasscode: PA9Zd3\nDownload Teams | Join on the web\nLearn more | Meeting options \nVIC webinar: Info Session – Metham Sodium Treated Gravel (Dieback-free BRM)\nJoin on your computer\, mobile app or room device\nClick here to join the meeting\nMeeting ID: 935 435 479 479 0\nPasscode: bB2Rk9\nDownload Teams | Join on the web\nLearn more | Meeting options \nWA webinar: Info Session – Metham Sodium Treated Gravel (Dieback-free BRM)\nMicrosoft Teams meeting\nJoin on your computer\, mobile app or room device\nClick here to join the meeting\nMeeting ID: 938 587 044 288 7\nPasscode: YQ9kU3\nDownload Teams | Join on the web\nLearn more | Meeting options \nQLD webinar: Info Session – Metham Sodium Treated Gravel (Dieback-free BRM)\nJoin on your computer\, mobile app or room device\nClick here to join the meeting\nMeeting ID: 933 368 270 443 7\nPasscode: yA29jr\nDownload Teams | Join on the web\nLearn more | Meeting options \nAny questions\, please reach out to Pip Soulsby\, Senior Project Manager – pip.soulsby@dwg.org.au

SUMMARY:DIG Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:It’s our 30th Birthday! Come Celebrate with us at DIG 2026 \nIn 2026\, the Dieback Working Group proudly marks 30 years since our founding in 1996 by Dr Ian Colquhoun. The DIG Conference 2026 will celebrate this milestone\, bringing together practitioners\, researchers\, land managers\, and community partners from across Australia. For three decades\, DWG has worked to increase awareness and improve the management of Phytophthora Dieback and other biosecurity threats to our natural ecosystems. DWG has grown into a nationally recognised not-for-profit organisation with diverse membership and strong outreach across industry\, government\, science\, and community sectors. The 2026 conference will reflect on our progress\, share new knowledge\, and continue driving best-practice behaviour and policy change. \nRegister your interest in DIG 2026 to get the latest event details\, registration information and speaker announcements \nVisit the EVENT page here for details
